Kevin M Isaac

I started a blog to share my poetry, insights and observations.
I want to communicate more directly with readers in an unfiltered way.
It’s hard to believe, but I have been writing poems and a bit of short stories since my teenage years.
I have always been fascinated by things around me and have tried, through poetry, to make sense of them.
I hasten to say, though, that not every poem or story is autobiographical, although one’s experiences can or may percolate in such a way as to colour how the poem is written or the story is told.

My Thoughts on

Poetry in an Age of Technology

One inescapable truth is that poetry is food for the soul. It captures not only the essence of our humanity but also the varied angles of our lives.
Nowadays, technology is that ubiquitous and equally inescapable extension of our lived experiences. Technology is everywhere.

This is why I decided to couple my poetry with technology to reach a wider audience, but also to use technology to diversify the ways in which I share my poetry.
In addition to social media, I am incorporating podcasts, videos in 360, and other chats. Poetry runs the gamut of our experiences. It speaks to our common humanity.
I hope to continue to use technology because it also democratises the poetic voice and allows us all to take a moment to step back, listen, share and really appreciate what we have in common, no matter where we find ourselves.

"Life is the best place to live.
Make sure to live in the moment."

Freequently Asked Question..?

Do you use ai to write your poems

No. I continue to be impressed with AI. However, I strongly believe that the ability to craft poems from images, words, metaphors, musings, and daily interactions is something that is uniquely individual and special to me as a poet. To surrender that gift to artificial intelligence would be to dilute or abandon that gift.

Do you run workshops

Not at the moment, but it is indeed something I intend to do in the future.

Do you do a live poetry session

Yes, I have on occasions, when invited to do so. However, as we update my website, I hope to be able to do that with persons who subscribe to the webpage.

Do you have a shop

No. My books are usually available on Amazon.com.

Do you have an audiobook?

Not yet, but this is something that I am actively pursuing.
